The official tartan of RPD is "MacDonald of the Isles Modern Hunting". After viewing hundreds of tartans in catalogs and websites, band members narrowed their choices to 11 and then rated cloth samples of those tartans. MacDonald of the Isles received the highest rating and was officially adopted in March, 2004.
